  1. What is the role of an urologist?

A urologist is a specialized doctor who is trained to diagnose and treat conditions that affect the urinary system, including the kidneys, bladder, and reproductive organs. 

  1. When should I consider seeing an urologist for the first time?

You should make an appointment or request a referral to a urologist when you have trouble urinating, urinate frequently, develop pelvic pain and have trouble maintaining an erection. These are just a few of the reasons to consider seeing a urologist.

  1. Do I need a referral to see Dr Osman?

Certain medical aids require an assessment by a GP prior to seeing a specialist, but is not necessary in all cases.

  1. What can I expect during my first consultation with Dr Osman?

Dr Osman will gather more information about your medical history, history of related illnesses in the family, and surgical procedures you have undergone. He makes you feel comfortable sharing information about your symptoms. Dr Osman will proceed to conduct a physical examination and order additional tests if necessary. Upon conclusion of these findings from the test results, he will formulate a personalised treatment plan to suit your medical needs.

  1. Do you accept all medical aids?

Dr Osman is contracted to certain medical schemes but its best to contact the reception(0716769266) to see if you are medical aid is covered.

  1. What are your practice hours?

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
Closed on weekends and public holidays.
